Our Marketing Managers Children

One of the perks of working for CKP is the fact that your children can demand their photographs to be taken whenever they want (or their parents for that matter!!).
Below are the pictures taken of our marketing managers children Albert and Edward.
These black and white portraits are my favourite types of images and work very well to show the character of each of the children.

We had a great time photographing two brothers recently on the sand dunes of St Ouen's. The light was amazing and as usual when photographing children amongst the dunes they had an excellent time.

Hannah & Ruben

Back in January, Christian braved the cold winds on St. Ouen's beach to capture some images of Hannah and Ruben with their family. But the cold didn't stop everyone from having a great day out - and these images really capture the close relationships within this family.
St. Ouen's Bay is a fantastic location for a family shoot. With a huge expanse of beach running as far as the eye can see, it is easy to find spots that. And just across the road, are the sandunes, which also create a fantastic back drop for pictures - what more could a photographer need!

So, the search was on to find the Face of Baby Barn!
Andy and Christian spent two weeks dashing all over the island, taking pictures of children of all ages playing in their homes, gardens or favourite places. With 60 shoots available, we filled up fast and so had to add an extra few days of shoots just to squeeze everybody in - and with 93 children in total, Andy and Christian were rushed off their feet!
The difficult task then came when having to choose the finalists for the competition and, luckily, it wasn’t us that had this tough decision. This was down to an independent judging panel made up of Nicola Eastwood, the founder of Baby Barn, Elizabeth Talbot, the fashion editor at Jersey Now Magazine and Annabel Karmel MBE, leading expert in baby and children’s nutrition.

At the beginning of May it was time for us to pack up our office for the weekend and head to Trinity for the BabyBarn Family Show, to show people a little bit more about CKP Lifestyle and what we are all about.
After 5 hours of Andy and Christian’s hard work (and lots of hammering and drilling) our stand was ready for visitors. The images below show that their hard work really paid off, as by Saturday morning, the stand was looking fantastic. It was great to have so many visitors over the weekend, so if you were there, thank you for stopping by and saying hello. We were lucky enough to even get a few celebrity guests too, including Iggle Piggle and Upsy Daisy!
We were also involved in the Face of BabyBarn Competition, designed to find a little one to promote BabyBarn for 2010. Stay tuned for more information on this. We will put all the finalists, including the winner, up shortly.
Having spoken to many mums and dads over the weekend, it sounds like it was a great day out for everyone with lots of fun activities, as well as lots of great information and help for parents and parents-to-be.
And the venue has already been booked for the 2011 BabyBarn Family Show - so stay tuned to find out when it is being held next year! |
Andy has recently completed a shoot with the clothing company Olive & Moss so we had to share with you our favourite images from the project. I am not sure how Andy managed it but all the children were in great spirits for the shoot and seemed to really enjoy themselves, although Andy was pretty exhausted afterwards.

Our first blog posts shows an example of A Day in the Life that we completed recently. This is my favourite type of shoot that we offer here at CKP because it really gives us a chance to document a family for an entire day and to capture a day in their lives which, as we know, goes by much quicker than any of us would wish. You can see a short slideshow which includes a selection of images taken from their shoot.
